Qisda's QCM-330 Smartphone has won a 2010 iF Gold Award following the 10 iF Product Design Awards the company took home last December. After earning the most awards of any company in Taiwan, Qisda once again earned this high honor generally considered to be the Oscar of the industrial design world.
Yesterday, March 2, an award ceremony was held in Hannover, Germany where iF chairman Ralph Wiegmann admired the QCM-330's flawless integration of communications technologies, industrial design, visual minimalism, quality, and its remarkably classic appearance. In Germany to accept the award, Qisda VP and Chief Design Officer Manfred Wang expressed gratitude for the award in German and described how Qisda, through its design capabilities, has elevated the value-added efforts of Taiwan's technology industry, which has already received extensive international acclaim.
Qisda's first participation in last year's iF Design Award competition resulted in 5 awards. This year, Qisda not only doubled the amount of awards it took home to 10 to maintain the distinction of winning the most in Taiwan, but also captured a Gold Award, the competition's highest honor. Since 2008, Qisda has won 37 international design awards including iF, red dot, and G-Mark.
Manfred Wang went on to point out that Qisda's design capabilities are one of its core competitive strengths. Through the company's world-class industrial design and its outstanding ability to integrate engineering and design, the perfect blend of form and function is achieved. This increases the value-added to products and provides customers with complete product solutions—and has become Qisda's unique ODM competitive strength. By winning the iF Gold Award, the QCM-330 demonstrates the competitiveness of Qisda's mobile communications products. The company's unique design capabilities have helped Qisda become the new model for Taiwan's technology industry.
